Monstera Deliciosa, aka, the Swiss Cheese plant is a tropical flowering plant native to the forests of South Mexico. Recently, they've made quite big waves in the home decor industry as a very common house plant. Reminiscent of tropical areas and vacations they add a very boho/ beachy aesthetic to any place. You'll find them regularly in beachside resorts and hotels, as well as places going for a laid back relaxing vibe.
This beautiful plant, is not only fun to look at, but also makes a fantastic print design for various arts. You can find them in fabrics, wallpapers, digital art and as well as nail art! Since a lot of us are stepping into Spring/Summer, this pattern will make for the perfect summery and tropical nail art. So let's get right into the best 10 #monstera nail arts.
First and foremost, the monstera leaves in all their glory on a #neutral background so it's all about them. Paint realistic leaves on neutral shade of yellow so that the green pops. You can use stickers or decals if painting isn't your best skill.
Jumping from simplicity to a #beach bonanza! Pair the print with bright and white summer shades. These will look fantastic on tan skin against a sandy background, perfect for the gram.
This watercolour-esque print paired with the #pastel pale #pink is such a kawaii aesthetic. Perfect for a dainty design and suitable for all situations.
Why not go all out and bring the jungle to your nails!? Add a long beaked #toucan in colour of choice, preferably something that stands out against the green. Perfect for a tropical vacation.
One can't mention summer and vacations and not think about flamingos. Encompassing all things fun and fabulous, the pink #flamingo is a stunning addition to the monstera print.
Minimalism has been a big trend this year. Merging that trend with the monstera pattern, you get cool and unique nails. They are bold, yet subtle. Loud, yet #minimal. Perfect for that #boho vibe.
Retro is in this year, and so is pop art. Pop art style in nail art involves simple, comic like bold prints against vibrant backgrounds. Paint black bordered prints of monstera on a solid background, and voila, #pop art on your nails.
If bright greens aren't your thing, you can switch it up and use other colours instead. Deep colours like black and #teal work particularly well because you will be able to see the eponymous Swiss cheese holes. You can add rhinestones in place of the stoma (holes) for some added pizzazz.
You don't need to limit yourself when it comes to patterns. Mix and match different types of leaves for a more rounded tropical/ forest look. Add hints of #gold to make the pattern pop and not get muddled.
In this style. pair a basic yet chic neutral colour with #accents of the monstera leaves. Super subtle and elegant and will go along with any outfit.
